for the SABE Early Career Researcher (ECR) Workshop

in association with the IAREP/SABE 2019 bi-annual conference

SABE traditionally offers young researchers an opportunity to present their research in front of experienced academics (mentors) in the field of experimental and behavioural economics and psychology.

The seventh workshop shall be organized in association with the IAREP/SABE 2019 conference on September 1, 2019 at University College Dublin, Ireland, on the first day of the main conference prior to the beginning of its official programme.

Who is eligible?

PhD students, postdocs and tenure-track researchers in the first academic year of their career who have submitted their papers to the IAREP/SABE 2019 conference (#IAREPSABE2019), as well as local young researchers in the field.

How to apply?

By Friday, July 5, 2019, submit to the ECR workshop organizer, Alexis Belianin (abelianin@hse.ru) a letter of intent confirming your willingness to participate, title and abstract of the paper you would like to present. This may be the paper submitted to the main conference (whether accepted or rejected), or any other work you would like to present and receive feedback on. Acceptance to the ECR workshop is not related to acceptance to the main conference.

Authors accepted to ECR workshop shall be notified in writing by Wednesday, July 10, and should prepare a short version of their paper (up to 7,000 words, excluding appendices) for mentor’s review by Friday, July 26, 2019.

Workshop

Workshop participants are expected to arrive at the workshop venue by the morning of Sunday, September 1, 2019, and give a short presentation of their work, followed by a discussion of a mentor (a senior academic from IAREP/SABE conference participants and guest speakers) and peers. Coffee and a lunchtime break will be arranged on site, followed by a closing dinner for all participants.

There is no separate fee for the workshop over the main IAREP/SABE conference fee.
